Happy Holidays from the Senior Theatre Guild!
2025 was a great start, setting up online accounts and working them for 6 months to build this up. There is a need for senior citizen theatre. It's really taking off around the country, but there is barely anything like this designed for the 55 plus community in the Midwest. Theatre is so important for health, and a major form of communication. There will be events in 2026!
All of these events will begin by being free and open to the public. Anyone will be able to come to them.
Right now, the plan is to have staged reading events and storytelling events. If you think about it, as people get older, they have more difficulty memorizing. If the events are staged readings, there's no memorization! And storytelling? Senior citizens have stories to tell. 70, 80 or 90 years worth of stories. This will be fun!
